Identity: Moonmere elves are long-lived forest peoples whose bodies, law, and memory are shaped by seasonal courts, witness trees, animal treaties, and the belief that land remembers conduct.
Appearance: Moonmere elves are usually tall and narrow-boned, with eyes that catch green or silver light, hair braided with seasonal tokens, and clothing grown or woven to match path, court, and duty. Elders may carry bark-like scars from memory rites; young envoys often wear deliberately human-readable signs to reduce diplomatic accidents.
Life cycle: children are rare and socially significant. A birth can soften an entire court season, while a death may enter grove memory and remain politically active for centuries. Age creates authority but also grief weight.
Courts: Spring Renewal governs healing, birth, and new treaties. Summer Thorn governs defense and pursuit. Autumn Judgment governs old wrongs and legal memory. Winter Silence governs burial, secrecy, and dangerous knowledge.
