Identity: the College of Seven Stars is Aurelion's most influential wizard institution, founded to keep High Wizardry from becoming private catastrophe. It teaches spell grammar, true-name ethics, star geometry, prepared circles, and interruption discipline.
Structure: the College is divided into seven towers. Name studies identity and true-name drift. Circle studies spatial containment. Motion studies force, travel, and kinetic grammar. Memory studies records, thought palaces, and witness preservation. Weather studies sky patterns and agricultural prediction. Binding studies contracts, seals, and restraint. Silence studies cancellation, secrecy, and dangerous unfinished spells.
Admission: students are sponsored by nobles, temples, guilds, towns, or masters, but every accepted student must pass a calmness test inside an unfinished sentence circle. Talent matters less than the ability to stop wanting the spell to finish too early.
Law: the College licenses advanced spellwork because miscast grammar can free names, invert walls, summon weather into a courtroom, or make a contract physically binding beyond consent. Unlicensed wizards are prosecuted when they endanger public language, not merely because they cast spells.
