First Age, Before Crowned Hunger: mortal peoples, elder forests, deep clans, early spirits, and dragons lived under many local covenants. There was no single world order, but there were balanced obligations between land, name, dead, and ruler.
First Age, Covenant War: the Abyssal Crown offered command without reciprocity. It gathered kings, warlocks, beasts, and desperate cities by making domination feel like salvation. Elder dragons, mortal peoples, gods, saints, and traitors-who-repented sealed it beneath Mount Halven.
First Age residues: ruins from this age are rarely architectural in the human sense. They appear as sealed caves, saint roads, dragon scars, impossible trees, ash fields, oath stones, and places where names behave strangely.
Second Age, Luminous Empire: imperial rulers unified roads, coinage, temple calendars, wizard colleges, legal seals, and military command. It brought peace to many regions but also turned covenant fragments into institutions that could be taxed, edited, and weaponized.
