Appearance: long white hounds with blue gums, black antler nubs, translucent ears, and paws that leave no print unless the prey lies about their name. Their breath frosts door latches before they arrive.
Threat tier: elite in packs, boss when led by an old name-sire, and regional during winter years when many fugitives cross Frostgate under false identities.
Habitat: Frostgate Pass, exile roads, snow-year graves, abandoned watchfires, border inns, and sealed gates where people change names to survive.
Behavior: they do not hunt scent first. They follow the gap between a person's true name, used name, and abandoned name. They respect honest guest-right but attack houses that shelter someone under a profitable lie.
