The metaphysical foundation of Aurelion: evil was sealed, but its remains were transformed into useful powers.

The First Light is not merely good energy. It is the first successful covenant among mortal peoples, elder races, gods, dragons, saints, and repentant enemies against unbounded hunger. It is light because it makes domination visible and answerable.
The Abyssal Crown embodied command without reciprocity. Its true danger was not darkness as an element, but the desire to make others obey without being changed by them. It could command because it first made creatures desire command.
The sealing did not erase the Abyss. It divided, disciplined, and bound its usable fragments into covenant systems. This is why Aurelion's powers are powerful and morally risky rather than pure good tools.
Royal light controls legitimacy, but can become possession. Wizard grammar controls names, but can become arrogance. Dragon fire controls territorial force, but can become insult and tribute hunger. Dwarven runes control matter, but can become rigid debt. Elven root memory controls continuity, but can become grief stasis. Divine grace controls moral witness, but can become institutional theater. Abyssal arts are what happens when control discards reciprocity entirely.
